Alicia MacDonald

Alicia MacDonald is a bright, bold and bubbly presenter, writer and film critic. After graduating from the University of Exeter with a degree in English Literature, Alicia undertook various internships at GQ, Vogue and vogue.com where she worked closely with the VogueTV host. Whilst at Condé Nast, she caught the eye of the Glamour online team and before long began reporting from film premieres and award ceremonies, including the Bafta’s and British Independent Film Awards, for Glamour’s website. She has since then freelanced as a reporter for various publications including OK!, Star magazine, the Mail on Sunday and 6Degrees, writing about film, fashion, celebrity, music and travel. Having previously worked in the Stella McCartney, Chanel and Burberry offices, Alicia knows her fashion and has experience in numerous parts of the industry including modelling, styling, PR, buying and advertising. Alicia’s heart is in film though and she has a wealth of experience in numerous aspects of the movie industry. From acting to casting to reporting from Cannes to production managing to grilling directors in interviews, she's done it all! Hopelessly starry-eyed, her favourite film comes from the ‘gutter poetry’ of Tarantino; True Romance. She labels it as ‘Bonny and Clyde on acid!’ Alicia has proved herself as a versatile writer and performer. She’s energetic, vivacious and always brings a fresh angle to the projects that she undertakes.
