Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) is an unprecedented global initiative originally created in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, and boost the industry’s economy during the recession. On September 8, 2011, in response to overwhelming demand, Fashion’s Night Out will return to New York City and over 250 cities nationwide to highlight fashion and support retail with exciting events that include designer appearances, celebrity guests, fashion shows and musical performances. In the United States, the program is a collaboration between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York.

Henrietta Ludgate

 

Henrietta Ludgate is an ethical fashion designer whose minimalist designs have been worn by Livia Firth and Laura Bailey. This September she is opening her first shop, Henrietta Ludgate’s Work-Shop, at Whiteley’s, Bayswater. The preview of the store opens tonight for Vogue Fashion’s Night out. The high fashion concept store offering the discerning shopper the chance to purchase ready-to-wear but also order bespoke items whilst being able to view artisans at work.

 

The store officially opens later in September but fashionistas can get a sneak peak inside this exciting new boutique at Vogue Fashion’s Night Out. The store will be open for a short period only to allow shoppers an exclusive preview of Henrietta’s designs and to experience the Work-shop for themselves. The Work-Shop is a vibrant creative space and shoppers will have the chance to exercise their own creativity by taking part in fashion illustration sessions led by a talented illustrator. And as life is too short to eat bad ice cream we have teamed up with Italian ice cream parlour, Oddonos, to provide an ice cream bar serving delicious chilled treats to our guests. What could be better than wonderful fashion and decadent icy treats?
