Every memory at the beach should be a happy one!

We all enjoy a beach holiday but looking beach chic is not always easy. SO, the Fashion Team at Dare2 went on the search for a new designer that would take the stress out of holiday packing. With this new designer and her collection you are sure to look super beach chic anyway and every way you wear her designs!

Sophia Rogge - Corals For Conservation - Eco BeachwearSophia Rogge’s Beachwear Collection is a total must-have this summer. The whole collection is gorgeous and 10% of gross profits from the collection go to the Corals for Conservation.

The debut collection consists of 4 different coloured sarongs (Kaledia, Blush, Cobalt and Amber), a mini Kaledia sarong, the Corals are Cool Tank Top (perfect with shorts and a panama hat!) and the Summer Scarf. Everything is made from 100% cotton using environmentally safe dyes.

Corals for Conservation works with fishing communities and the tourism industry to conserve the coral reefs that they so much depend upon. Conservation areas and marine parks are established which in turn work to restore the coral reef balance, becoming nursery areas for fish and other animals which spill over to the fishing grounds. More fish and healthier corals lead to more prosperous communities and enhanced tourism.

Corals for Conservation work to restore damaged reef areas and establish a connection with the people most closely associated to the reef who are then better able to protect it.

The designer and founder of the brand, Sophia Rogge, has been an artist and designer for years and was always drawn to colour and nature. While studying at art school she started studying the various shapes, forms and colours of coral and was immediately inspired.

Coral reefs are dying around the world. Every year new species of coral are discovered, but at the same time many are becoming extinct. This is caused by coral mining, agricultural and urban runoff, pollution (organic and non-organic), overfishing, blast fishing, disease, and the digging of canals and access into islands and bays are localized threats to coral ecosystems.

‘My aim is to bring the delicate allure of coral to the forefront of people’s minds, in the hope that you too will be inspired to support one of nature’s most beautiful and fragile living organisms.’ – Sophia Rogge

We just can’t get enough of this debut collection. Truly stunning!
